y'all can't all be wrong: October 2004

Forget the hurricanes, forget Mount St. Helens, forget hypocritical leaders, oh my God and Jesus as well, The Cars have sold one of their songs to promote home entertainment products. Pshaw. PSHAW. This is either a cruel joke or Ben Orr is giving us a message from beyond the grave. Duck, 'cause I'd bet heavy stuff is coming.

I just had one of those moments where I was trying to log on to a website but repeatedly failed to get the job done. You know those moments: you have the correct password in your mind and there's nothing wrong with the website, but, regardless of how many times you (re)type your password you inevitably type it incorrectly and end up at the login failed page. It took me 6 times this time just so I could check my bank account. Misery.

In another thought for this week: if doll makers can make a doll that has hair that grows so that girls (and boys) can cut it, perhaps they should make a doll where you can put in breast implants and/or perform liposuction on the belly, back, and ass. How else are little kids going to learn these things?

Truly, it is conviction. If you want comedy, try this
one on: "mom, dad, I'm 32, unemployed, and just
decided to join a rock band." Got (better) ideas?

So, for the half of you who never knew that I played
or for the others who are always asking what my band
sounds like, I'd be humbled if you came and
checked out the show.

Conservatives preach family values. Yet, when it comes to vacation time, the corporations say, "hey, two weeks is enough." Where's the value in that? I'm sure an argument is that corporations can't offer more vacation time and remain competitive. However, that argument fails when you take into consideration the European nations that offer six weeks.
